Busy but having fun!
I know I'm terrible...more than a month without posting...
It's been busy for me...and I have to accept, I've been lazy during my free time...
This is a short post to let everyone know I'm still alive hahaha
Yesterday I have some friends over at my place for nails, coffee and soesjes (dutch pastry).
This is the result on Janice's mani-pedi
mani: miss sporty pink and white bundle monster tips with white konad polish
pedi: barry m yellow with light blue crackle on top
both with nail tek foundation II as basecoat and seche vite top coat.
I enjoy so much doing my friends nails...even more than doing mine...since my cuticules are having such horrible season, I think this is the biggest reason I haven't posted any swatches because I have purchased quite some polishes later...
I got to find one of the China Glaze OMG polishes I didn't have LOL (purple holo) on Marktplaats (dutch Ebay) and I find just so gorgeous...love holos!
Also I purchased again from Nailetc some goodies.
I got OPI Teenage Dream from the Katy Perry Collection
Show it and Glow It from OPI Burlesque Collection
Orly Halleys Comet from the FX Cosmic Collection
And waiting for my China Glaze Crackle polish in white since it was out of stock :(
In a local store I got one of the Catrice's Floralista Limited Edition Collection in Pink Spring (muted pink with soft purple undertone)
And a couple of Essence Whoom Booom!! Collection Chacalaca (purple)
and Roy's Red (which looks more like a cherry pink)
I ordered at Alice and Jo Havesentials the two new Instant Effects Barry M Crackle Polish in Pink
and Light Blue
Both are great spring colors and now with the warmer sunny weather they cheer up my day...

New goodies!
A while ago I found a local (dutch) site that sells all the nail polish brands I like and made some picks. I wanted to try getting polishes here since buying them online from USA can take a while for delivery and this site counts with the polishes I wanted to get.
I was looking for good non konad stamping polishes and a couple of colors I was craving for.
For konading I picked from China Glaze Khrome and Romantique Collections:
2030, Adore and Harmony (I purchased from a USA site China Glaze Millenium also in the photo)
And from Color Club:
Snakeskin (Untamed Luxury Collection)
and the popular Revvvolution from the Femme Fatale Collection (which many blogs claim to be the closest dupe to the holographic almost imposible to find version of OPI My private jet) I have the regular one and still find it a beautiful color, but definitely the other one is just perfection.
And a big bottle of black Konad stamping polish.
The site is www.nailpolishfashion.nl
I liked that they give you the option of choosing for package sending costs or regular post envelope (under your own risk). This can make your order much more cheaper. Delivery was quick and well packed.
I'm very happy with my picks...how do you like them?

Seche Vite & Seche Restore...the golden duo
Sometimes I think and I just can't remember how was life before Seche Vite fast drying Top Coat :D
Doing nails was kind of a tedious long wait until you were able to start doing things without ruining your freshly made manicure.
I discovered Seche through blogs and youtube gurus and found it here in some e-tailers in Holland, but at quite high price compared to USA.
So my Ebay adventure started.
I found the Seche Vite Professional Kit at a great price (around 20 euro included shipping) if compared with the 6 euro that costs the small bottle here. The kit contains one 14ml Seche Vite bottle, a 118ml glas bottle and a plastic nozzle. I refilled my bottle around 4 times already and I haven't used half of the big one yet.
Also I purchased the Seche Restore Professional Kit. The kit contains a glass bottle containing 59ml of Restore and a drop dosificator.
Restore is a polish thinner. I had some bottles that were all goopie and not good enough to do my nails since were just too thick to apply them evenly.
Also the fact that Seche Vite top coat gets thicker after a while, so I wanted to give it a try.
I have a beautiful glitter polish from Art de Lautrec, which after a couple of applications became very thick and difficult to apply
I added to the polish bottle between 5 to 8 drops (depends of how thick the polish is, you have to try and keep addding as needed) and rolled the bottle between my hands.
It worked wonders! as the name says, it restores the original consistence of the polish.
I am very pleased with this two products. They deliver what they offer, a ultra quick dry and shiny top coat and a great polish thinnner.
Now I'll keep "restoring" the bottles that need it...just an excuse to look around my little treasures :D
Have a good one!

NOTW: Sexy Leopard !!!
This sexy design is inspired on a tutorial by Brooke
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjTjfmrQer0
From the China Glaze OMG collection I own 2 bottles:
DV8 and BFF
and I'm just crazy about holographic polishes since then. Bad that they are limited edition and can be quite pricey to find them on Ebay.
This are things I used to achieve it:

Nicole's Fave
I got this beauty as a birthday present, came as part of a set with a gorgeous purple which I'll swatch soon. My first two Nicole by OPI polishes.
Consistency was good, dried very quick and only needed 2 coats to be completely opaque.

Orly Space Cadet
Oh my! Oh my!
What a polish!
I just couldn't wait to try it on....
What an amazing and unique shade!
Reminds me a certain type of beetle, that when hit by sunlight, shows different metallic shades...just gorgeous!

green, purple and golden shimmer
For sure my polish this weekend!
(and already thinking of getting a back up)
This is my second Orly bottle and again the formula goes on the runny side, but 3 coats get the job done and dries up quick and completely opaque.

Pakketje! Pakketje!
Mr. Postman is spoiling me this week!
I got a package from USA today.
I ordered at NailEtc.com 3 polishes I wanted for a while.
My friends gave me on my birthday a very generous envelope with money (it's dutch thing giving money as present).
They know how crazy I'm about polishes and make up, so they gave me the option to buy whatever I want...(I have the best friends ever!)
This time I picked:
China Glaze Millenium
I was in need of a silver khrome polish, since lately I'm into Konad (well Bundle Monster, I only own one Konad plate) I saw in many blogs that khromes are good for Konading and between my white, black, orange, green and yellow Konad polishes I was getting a bit bored.
OPI Designer Series Extravaganza
My first DS bottle, I've been looking like crazy for DS Desire, but haven't been lucky...this one is a gorgeous holographic fuschia with shimmer...
Orly Space Cadet
this polish really blew my mind away...there is no way to explain exactly which color is, but you have shades of green and purple with bit of golden/bronze shimmer, it's just amazing.
Never seen a polish like that before, and for sure will get at least one more color from the same collection.
Depending on the light conditions you get a different shade from this bottle, can't wait to try it on...

You don't know Jacques Suede + Konad
Finally I got in the mail my bottle of OPI You don't know Jacques Suede version.
It's the first of that finish I own and I'm in love.
It needed only one coat to be completely opaque and dried very quick.
The downside of Suede finishes as well as Matte is that they get "shinny" quite fast.
You cannot use lotions and they wear off quicker than regular finish.
This polish is different from the regular version of You don't know Jacques, it's a golden brown tone with a gorgeous shimmer, beautiful in suede finish as with topcoat on.
I wanted to make this mani a bit more fancy and I decided to do some konad on it
I used:
Nail Tek Foundation II as Base Coat
You don't know Jacques Suede as Base Color
Konad Stamping Polish in Black pearl ( the flash makes it look blue)
Bundle Monster Plate nr. 20
Seche Vite as Topcoat

Hey Mr. Postman...
I'm pretty sure you love finding packages as much as I do!
I received 2 today, so double fun!!!!
The first one is from ELF Cosmetics UK
My order consisted of:
Lip Stain in Mysterious (pinkish nude color)
Nail Polish in Metal Madness (gunmetal with tiny specs)
Angled contour brush (wanted the stippling brush, but they were out)
Pressed Powder in Almond (run out of mine a while ago)
They had a special offer on the Facebook fan page, so I got free shipping and the new Make Up Mist and Set for free when ordering 10 sterling pounds or more (excl. shipping costs).
The second package was local, I ordered at Boozyshop.
Since I couldn't find the stippling brush from ELF and mine is asking for early retirement (is shedding like hell) I decided to purchase my first Sigma brush.
I wanted the Flat Top Kabuki but they only had the Round Top Kabuki, so I'm very curious how good it is, for sure is soooooft! (L)
Also I got a Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream...
I' really going nutts...my cuticles are so dry that I don't know what to do anymore!!!
Read good reviews on this one...fingers crossed!!
Can't wait to try all the goodies!!!
Which have you tried or want to try too?

Early Birthday Present...
I had a loooooooooooooooooooong day at work...
Finally made it home and a mistery box was waiting for me...
When I read who was the sender...I knew I will have a warm cozy moment opening it and I know this is going to be more a personal than a beauty related post...
In one week is my birthday! I'm turning 28 (getting closer to the scary 30's LOL)
The package came from special people...
My dutch family, the one who brought me to Holland in september 2007...
I was a nanny for 3 years and not a common one.
I was a nanny for 9 special and beautiful kids...
Furry and feathery ones...
Yes! I was a pet nanny!
(told you! not a common one!)
I was 25 years old and my first time out of my country.
They were looking for an animal crazy person...
and they found me!
(how to resist this crazy bunch?!)
They opened for me the doors of their home and shared with me the fun and love of living in a never boring - never hair free house
